Donna Currie Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna Currie of Shenandoah, Iowa, who passed away on December 12, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse W. Stanbrough and Fern E. Stanbrough (Swanson); her siblings, Elaine Woodyard, Maxine Crouse and Gerald Stanbrough; her brothers-in-law, George Woodyard and Robert Crouse; and her friend Jim Nebel.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Currie (Lynda) of Brainerd, MN, Chad Currie (Sherry) of Whitewater, CO and Aimee Currie (Jeremy Holland); her grandchildren, Logan Currie (Nick Panetta) of Haiku, HI, Ben Currie (Ashley Williams) of Des Moines, IA and Anna Grace Currie of Des Moines; her great grandchildren, Kiko and August; her siblings, Robert Stanbrough (Bernadette), Beverly McGargill (Luke) of Shenandoah and Karen Aherns (Bob) of Shenandoah; and also, Red Oak and Fillies.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private graveside service for immediate family will be the only services held at this time. Despite her considerable efforts to protect herself, Donna was a victim of community-spread COVID-19.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that memorials in Donna's name be gifted to the Turnbull Child Care Center.
