With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Earl Bruce of Shellsburg, Iowa, who passed away on April 15, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Bruce and Hazel Bruce (Van Dyke); his siblings, David Bruce, Ethel Sweet and Mary Michels; and his grandson Oscar Linley.

He is survived by: his wife Martha Jean Petro Bruce; and his children, William Bruce (Louise) of Shellsburg, Dale Bruce (Joanne) and Brenda Linley of Iowa City. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
