He was predeceased by: his parents, John Coder and Berneice Coder (Sharpless); and his brothers, Bob and Jerry Coder. He is survived by: his pet Red; his children, Lisa Pfalzgraf (Mark) of Cedar Falls and Ross Coder (Crystal) of Vinton; his grandchildren, Michael (Ariana) of Kyara, RJ, Emmalee, Olivia, Mason and Caleb; his great grandchildren, MJ, Gabi and Amora; his former wife Loretta Coder (Shadden) of Cedar Rapids; and his siblings, James Coder and Patsy Wicks.

A memorial fund has been established.
