He was predeceased by: his parents, George Horning and Maxine Horning (Davenport); and his siblings, Georgia, Carol, Judy, Jack, Bobby, Jay and Per.
He is survived by: his wife Sherrie of Shellsburg; his children, Jade Horning (Marc Cashman) of Des Moines, Morgan Horning (William Griffin) of Denton, TX and Adam Horning (April Hoffman) of Iowa City; his siblings, Bobette Trimble, Nancy Hapgood (Greg), Gale Horning (Bea), Jana Seifferlein (Paul), Wendy Arnold and Nona Cummings; and his sister-in-law Linda Horning. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
