He is survived by: his wife Jeannine Hagen of Shellsburg; his son Brian Schminke (Denise) of Shellsburg; his grandson Mitch Schminke (Nicole); his great grandchild Grace; his grandson Matt Schminke (Liz); his great grandchildren, Tayton, Owen and Kasen; his grandchild Shawn Schminke (Morgan); his children, Olivia, Ian Schminke and Brandy Olsen (John) of Chicago; his granddaughter Ingrid Olsen; his sister Ida Mae Tompkin of St. Louis; and his sister-in-law Inge Schminke of Shellsburg.
