She was loved and cherished by many people including: her adoptive father Harry; her children, Deanna Shada (David) and Laurie Sorenson (Jamie Bennett); her grandchildren, Mallory Boge (Brian), Dalton Shada (Darian Stueck), Brayden Bennett and Logan Bennett; her great grandchildren, Lennox and Landry Boge; her siblings, John Derr (Polly), Ron Derr (Sandi), Darrell Dowling (Gladna) and Sharon Franklin (Roy); and her parents, Harry Derr and Annette Derr.
