He is survived by: his wife Lynn Rand; his children, Autumn Schipper (Trenton) of Evansdale, Spring Heckmann of Cedar Rapids, Shania Woods (Eric) of Palo and Kevin Heckmann II of Shellsburg; and his grandchildren, Owen and Charlotte.
