It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janette Ellen Dargavel of Shellsburg, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph R. Hootman and Eleanor Hootman (Ferrel); and her siblings, Barbara Raue, David Hootman, Kenneth Hootman and Paul Hootman.

She is survived by: her siblings, Larry Hootman, Anna Ortery, Allice Hootman, Mark Hootman and Glen Hootman.

The family requests in lieu of flowers please support the Sunshine Acres Children's Home or Alzheimer's Disease Research.
