He is survived by: his wife Delores Fitzwater; his sisters, Doris Wrage of Marshalltown, Mary Dorman of Port Orange, Carol Patterson (Dan) of Marengo and Jane Wilson (Brent) of Grundy Center, Iowa; his sister-in-law Ardath Davis of Marengo; his children, Dan Davis (Janice) of Tupelo, Karla Bicknese (Aaron) of Hawkeye and Susie Bether of Escondido, California; his grandson Shane Davis (Christine); his great grandchildren, Eli, Annaliese, Griffin, Lily and Sven; his granddaughter Laura Cooper (Alan); his great grandchildren, Wesley, Ethan and Athena; his grandson Joshua Bicknese (Hannah); his great grandchild William; his granddaughter Emily Stene (Tom); his great grandchildren, Esther, Susanna and Rachel; and his grandchildren, Jeremiah Bicknese, Gloria Bicknese, Rosanna Bether, Curtis Bether and Valerie Bether.
