He was predeceased by: his parents, Galen Allen and Erma Nadine Smith (Shook); and his children-in-law, Bubba Brooks and Becky Smith. He is survived by: his wife Bertha Louise Kingery; his children, Deb Cole (Brad) of Dodge, ND, Bryan Smith of Clarksville, Dan Smith (Jenn) of Shell Rock and Wendy Brooks of Clarksville; his granddaughter Bethany Myers (Jon); his stepgrandson Dustin Cole; his great grandchildren, Jordan Myers, Bailey Enright (Levi) and Jenna Myers; and his siblings, Roger Smith (Joyce), Darlys Smith (Jan Kranbeer) and Janan Smith (Zane). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Heritage Global Methodist Church or to Cedar Valley Hospice.
