He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Slifka and Velma "Peggy" Slifka (Womack); his brother Keith Michael Slifka; his stepfather Stuart Mintey; his son Wendel Slifka; and his siblings, Marilyn Stanley, Kenneth and Michaeleen Riehle.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Saathoff; his daughter Wanda of Mesa, Arizona; his siblings, Max of Cresco, Iowa and Kay Albertson (Robert) of Waterloo, Iowa; his sister-in-law Harriett Slifka of California; and his close friend Nedra Peterson of Shell Rock, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at 13867 Willow Ave, Cresco, IA 52136.
