She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Strottman and Rita Strottman (Ulrich); her husband James V. Gibson of Paul's Lutheran Church; and her brother Robert E. Strottman. She is survived by: her children, Lea Whitcome (Scott) of Waverly and Kirk Gibson (Joy) of Des Moines; her grandchildren, Matthew Byl (Maddie), Rachel Becker (Todd), Jade Jones (Andrew), Vaughn Gibson (Samantha), Eric Whitcome (Amber) and Clint Whitcome (Stephanie); and her great grandchildren, Wesley, Shayley Byl, Lincoln, Everlee, Weston, Kinley and Lucas Whitcome.
