He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Shipp and Violet Shipp (Germann); his former spouse Marlyn Howard; his wife Marilyn Shultz; his son David Shipp; his grandson Ben Shipp; and his siblings, Mavis, Marlys, Beverly, Bob, Paul, Don and Jerry Shipp.
He is survived by: his son Rocky Shipp (Darlene) of Waverly; his stepchildren, Paulette Shultz of Phoenix, Arizona, Gene Shultz (Patti) of Cedar Falls and Dan Shultz (Dixie) of Ramsey, Minnesota; his brother Elwyn Shipp (Victoria) of Nashua, Iowa; and his sister-in-law Donna Shipp of Shell Rock.
