He was predeceased by: his parents, Klaus Mehmen and Grace Mehmen (Arenholz); and his siblings, Carrie Gambaiani, Ralph Mehmen, Raymond Mehmen and Koert Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Velda Franken of Shell Rock; his children, Janelle Grover (Todd) of Rogers, Arkansas, Bob Mehmen (Donna) of Shell Rock and Dennis Mehmen of Omaha, Nebraska; and his brother Jake Mehmen of Greene, Iowa.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
