He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank G. Reints and Emilie Reints (Siefkes); his wife Marjorie Shaeffer; and his siblings, Gerhard, Siegfried Reints and Helen Reints.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Anderson (Dennis) of Cedar Falls and Jeff Reints (Micki) of Shell Rock; his grandchildren, Brad Reints (Stacey) of Shell Rock, Clay Reints (Casey) of Shell Rock, Mike Anderson (Chelsea) of Cedar Falls and Nicki Anderson of Olathe, Kansas; his great grandchildren, Connor, Macey, Adelaide, Jennifer, Beau and Haley; his brother Frank Reints of Shell Rock; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Reints of Rushford, Minnesota..
