He was predeceased by: his brother Parnell Pierson; his grandparents, Ruth, Okkie Mehmen, Frank and Goldie Pierson; and his uncle Richard Mehmen.
He is survived by: his parents, Edward Pierson and Gloria Pierson (Mehmen); his wife Joyce Pierson of Shell Rock; his children, Justin Pierson of Waverly and Bekka Pierson of Shell Rock; his brother Patrick Pierson (Karla) of Cambridge, Iowa; and his nieces, Sydney, Paige and Allie.
