It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alex Mark Pothast of Shell Rock, Iowa, born in Waverly, Iowa, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 31, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Loren Pothast and Vancil Noel. He is survived by: his parents, Mark Pothast and Theresa Pothast (Noel) of Clarksville; his brother Andrew Pothast (Sam) of Shell Rock; and his grandmothers, Ruth Pothast of Shell Rock and Donna Noel of Waverly. He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Iowa Donor Network.
