With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth D. Boender of Sheldon, Iowa, who passed away on March 11, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Pruis and Anna Pruis (Huizenga); her husband John R. Boender; her sisters, Analene (Charles Botkin) and Carlene Pruis; her niece Linda Pettenger; her nephew William Pruis; her siblings-in-law, John Boender, Claude Boender (Lucy), Henry Boender (Anna), Lucretia Boender, Adrianna Boender, Arlene (Gerrit Ver Hoek) and Jean Van Oort; and her nephews, Harold Ver Hoek and Phillip Van Oort.
She is survived by: her children, David (Vera Boender), Andrew (Susan Boender) and Ruthann Boender of Sheldon; her grandchildren, Timothy Boender (Dawn), Samuel Boender, Caleb Boender, Elizabeth Boender and Zachary Boender; her great grandchildren, Eva, Anna, Lily Boender and Barry Browning; and her sister-in-law Josephine Van Oort. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
