He is survived by: his children, Natalie Van Ginkel (Joel) of Hull, Leah Heiliger (Dan) of Archer, Dan Poppema (Kathy) of Sheldon and Mike Poppema (Katy) of Remsen; and his siblings, Carol Smidt of Sibley, Jane Lode (Arlan) of Sheldon, Iowa and Larry Poppema (Linda) of Lincoln, Nebraska..
