It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Wm Bahrenfuss of Sheldon, Iowa, who passed away on May 4, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Bahrenfuss and Dorothy Bahrenfuss (Lape); his wife L. Michele Nagel; his brother Doug; and his brother-in-law Jerry Herzog.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Bahrenfuss of Ft. Dodge, IA, Brett Bahrenfuss (Renae) of Sioux Falls, SD and Tamara Golden (Don) of Lithia, FL; his grandchildren, Derek Bahrenfuss (Ashley), Dalton Bahrenfuss, Drew, Ella and Anna Golden; his great grandchild Teagyn Bahrenfuss; and his siblings, Sharon Buss (John) of Colton, SD, Ron Bahrenfuss (Sharon) of Sheldon, IA, Gayle Herzog of Peoria, IL, Roger Bahrenfuss (Vel) of Sioux Center, IA and Sue Bahrenfuss of Sioux Falls, SD.
Memorials may be directed to: St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain, SD and or the Disabled American Veterans The Service will be Livestreamed on the Vander Ploeg Facebook Page on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 1:00pm Social distancing guidelines will take place and Mask are suggested for the visitation and the funeral.
