It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nell Joan Kleinwolterink of Sheldon, Iowa, born in Edgerton, Minnesota, who passed away on June 2, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Bosch and Sadie Vanden Bosch (Wiersma); her husbands, Alvin Nieuwendorp and Jack Kleinwolterink; and her sisters, Fran Fikse and Audrey Bakker.
She is survived by: her sister Verla Bakker (Ernie) of Bellevue, WA; her children, Kent Nieuwendorp (Patty) of Sheldon, IA, Greg Nieuwendorp of Sheldon, IA, Jeff Nieuwendorp (Cindy) of Sioux Falls, SD and Sandi Struyk (Dave) of Grand Rapids, MI.; and her stepchildren, Marsha Sterk (Larry) of Sheldon, IA, Cheryl Madsen (Mark) of Hull, IA, Brian Kleinwolterink (Kathy) of Hull, IA, John Kleinwolterink (Lisa) of Morris, MN and Keith Kleinwolterink (Kristen) of Sheldon, IA.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren, 20 step great-grandchildren, and 1 step great, great grandchild.
They enjoyed wintering in Texas, where Nell made quilts, embroidered pillowcases, made Afghans, and knitted dishcloths to donate to various charities.
