It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kurt Van Veldhuizen in Sheldon, Iowa, who passed away on July 7, 2023, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Travis; his grandparents, Elsie Horstman, Gene Van Veldhuizen and Irv Horstman; and his friend Will Nutter.
He is survived by: his parents, Dan Veldhuizen and Laurie Van Veldhuizen (Horstman); his wife Stephanie (Fox) of Johnston; his children, Elyse and Jude; the parents of child, Dan and Laurie Van Veldhuizen of Madrid, IA; his siblings, Kayla (Tom) and Conway of North Liberty, IA; his nieces and nephews, Finn, Oliver and Lydia; his siblings, Leigha (Cody) and Ginger of Mt. Vernon, IA; and his grandmother Jeane Van Veldhuizen of Sanborn, IA. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to Kurt's children's college education fund.
