We are sad to announce that on June 4, 2021, at the age of 91, Kathleen Wilhelmina Zylstra (Sheldon, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Smit and Winnie Smit (De Jong); her son Lynn Zylstra; her brother James Smit; and her siblings-in-law, Jennie Smit, Pierson Elgersma and Jack Zylstra.
She is survived by: her husband Andrew "Andy" Zylstra; her children, Rick Zylstra (Lori) of Sheldon, IA, Karla Hansmann (Chad) of George, IA and Shelley David (Jairus) of Omaha, NE; her grandchildren, Shane Zylstra (Lindsay), Kelsey Gibbons (Ted), Kayla Bucholz (Jordan), Amber Jacobson, Eric Jacobson, Christopher Hansmann, Adriana David, Brennan David and Blake David; and her siblings, Fran Boer (Ed) of Byron Center, MI, Betty Elgersma of Sibley, IA, Jerry Smit (Linda) of Lowell, MI, Roger Smit (Phyllis) of Prescott, AZ and Marilyn Hoogeboom (Robert) of Grand Rapids, MI. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Love INC. or the Sheldon Christian School After today's graveside service relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a time of fellowship in the fellowship hall of the church.
