It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Flora Gertrude Staples (Sheldon, Iowa), who passed away on August 7, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harriet Holwell (Curl) and John Holwell; and her sister Lavinia Mack. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Staples; and her children, Herbert Rex Holwell (Rosina) of Nain, Newfoundland of Sheldon, IA, Barry Wayne Staples (Claudia) of Sheldon, IA, Elaina Marie Long (Al) of Sheldon, IA and Philip Jay Staples of Sheldon, IA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
