It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Denise R. Kohn of Sheldon, Iowa, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Niichel and Norma Niichel (Tremmel); and her brother-in-law Kimbal Rook. She is survived by: her husband Randy Kohn of Mary's Catholic Church; her siblings, Jerry Niichel (Shelli) of Sanborn, Iowa, Donita Burrows (Dan) of Tucson, Arizona, Deb Hatting (Mike) of Ashton, Iowa, Jim Niichel (Nancy) of Orange City and Steve Niichel of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and also, Tim Kohn (Sharon) of Ashton, Iowa, Natalie Anderson (Bruce) of Lakewood, Colorado, Jeff Kohn (Deb) of Harris and Mary Kennedy (Scott) of Kingsley. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews, relative and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home - Sheldon (724 6th Ave, Sheldon, IA 51201). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (310 10th St, Sheldon, IA 51201).
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Sanford Worthington Cancer Center.
