He is survived by: his children, Dale Schmidt (Debra) of Sheldon, IA, Lori Kleyer (John) of Sioux Center, IA, Evan Schmidt (Dianne) of Visalia, CA, Debra Teague (Wade) of Goldsboro, NC, Karin Mueller and Cormac Breen of London, England; and his siblings, Henry Schmidt (Joyce) of Sheldon, Elmer R. Schmidt (Mary) of Sheldon and Anna Sluis (Jim) of Edgerton, MN. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
