He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Merrill and Vera Merrill (Shaffer); his son Bob Merrill; and his sister Chevier Miller. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Merrill of Sheldon, IA; his sons, Randy (Pat Merrill), Tim Sr. (Mary Merrill) and Neal B. (Jenette Merrill); and his daughter-in-law Cyndi Olson (Lloyd) of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
