It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Shirley Den Hartog of Sheldon, Iowa, who passed away on January 2, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Heitmeyer and Tena Heitmeyer (Dykstra); her husband Willard Den Hartog; her granddaughter Rebecca Den Hartog; and her siblings, Sidney, John Junior, Herman and Sandra Koele.
She is survived by: her children, Twyla Vogel (Marwin), Denise Den Hartog and Wayne Den Hartog (Debbie); her grandchildren, Seth Vogel (Holly), Sara Vogel (Tyler Lewis), Mark Den Hartog (Michelle), Jennifer Groote (Jim), Amy Groen (Ben), Chad Den Hartog (Kellie), Lacey Den Hartog and Kelsey Cooper (Andy); her siblings, Junior Heitmeyer (Joan) and Karen Boer (Dale); and her siblings-in-law, Renee Heitmeyer, Elmer Den Hartog of Sheldon and Gene Den Hartog (Marlys) of Sheldon. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
