She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Peyton and Eva Peyton (Pletcher); her sons, Danny and Timmy; and her husband Dale Smit.
She is survived by: her former husband Harold McCaslin; her sons, Terry McCaslin (Penny) of Sheffield and Kevin McCaslin (Sara) of Rockford; her brother Mark Peyton of Arizona; her brother-in-law Pete Marsh of Lincoln; and her grandchildren, Genny (Caleb), JC (Jill), Kyle (Cassie), Abby (Nick), Chris (Kristin), Brianna (Jordan) and Logan. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends.
