She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard C. Markwardt and Irene M. Emhoff Markwardt; her brothers, William Nicholson, Ronald Nicholson and Carl Markwardt; and her son-in-law Kevin Maznio.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis Foss of Sheffield; her children, Troy of Sheffield, Stephen Foss (Kelly) of Des Moines, Denise Winter (Kyle) of Mason City and David Foss (Jaime) of Elburn; her grandchildren, Gabriel Foss, Grace Maznio, Nile Foss, Jack Maznio, Stella Winter, Mason Foss and Hayden Foss; and her sisters, Patricia Smit and Cathy Stevens (Kenneth). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
