We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2023, at the age of 80, Larry Gerald Olk (Sheffield, Iowa), born in Hampton, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ike Olk and Dagmar Olk; his siblings, Norman Olk, Donna Joens, Deloris Meyer and Iva Griep; his brothers-in-law, Harold Meyer and Stan Griep; and his son-in-law John Shirk.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Olk of Sheffield, IA; his daughter Kathy Shirk (Mark); his grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan, Sydney Shirk, Grady and Cameron Olk; and his siblings-in-law, Eleanor Olk of Sheffield, IA and David Joens of Cedar Falls, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials offered will be given to various organizations that serve veterans.
