He is survived by: his sons, Lester Schnabel (Eva) of Sheffield, Rodger Schnabel of Hampton, Keith Schnabel (Darla) of Geneseo and Justin Schnabel (Carol) of Sheffield; his grandchildren, Paula Schnabel of Ankeny, Matthew Schnabel (Krystal) of Kanawha, Laura Hegtvedt (Kyle) of Rockwell, Rebecca Winkie (Jared) of Waukon, Adam Schnabel of Colona, Austin Schnabel (Melissa) of Berwyn, Arion Schnabel (Lindsey) of Toledo, Anthony Schnabel of Perry and Shawnda Behr of Adel; his great grandchildren, Lillian, Robert, Isabelle Schnabel, Zebediah, Leah Winkie, Thomas, Theodora Hegtvedt, Mark and Meigan Behr; his sister Agnes Duit of Monticello; and his siblings-in-law, Marvin Janssen (Betty) of Hampton and Loretta Bishop of Swaledale. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
