With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Marie Oehlert of Sheffield, Iowa, who passed away on September 11, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Wearda and Elizabeth Wearda (Ohlerking); her husband Harold M. Oehlert; her brother Martin Wearda Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Davolt (Vernon), Evelyn Stoffer (Henry), Marlis Ames (Robert), Russel Oehlert (Ilene) and David Dannen.
She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Delton Oehlert (Loraine), Judy Dannen and Donna Faber (Roger); and her close friends, Dick and Lou Brown. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers a fitting remembrance would be a memorial to the Sheffield Public Library or the Westfork Elementary School in Dorothy's memory.
