It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Fortune of Seymour, Iowa, born in Leon, Iowa, who passed away on July 14, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Fortune and Lois Fortune (James); and his great grandchild Brynlee Paul. He is survived by: his children, Daniel Fortune (Michelle), Mike Fortune (Shirley), Tricia Fortune, Chris Fortune (Shawna) and Jennifer Gay (Brad); his grandchildren, Danielle Miller (Matt), Samantha Young (Jerel), Kristyn DeVore (Turner), Ashley Meeks (Matt), Taylor Fortune (Brittany), Heather Pope (Brandon), Jesse Jones, Corey Fortune (Haley), Keaton Gay, Tianna Fortune and Zechariah Gay; and his siblings, Ronda Davis (Garth) and Steve Fortune (Vicki). He is also survived by numerous extended family members and many friends.

Memorials may be given to the family to be designated at a later date.
