He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold V. Smith and Mabel G. Smith (Bryant); his grandparents, Earl, Amy Smith, Reo and Bessie Bryant; his siblings, Shelly Janine Smith and Terry Wayne Smith; his brother-in-law Dennis Dean Tuttle; and his nephew Joseph Wayne Smith.
He is survived by: his sisters, Elaina Tuttle of Corydon and Wendy (Rich Choponis) of Seymour; his nieces, Tracy Clark (Teddy), Deanna Parham (Gene), Kristi Hornaday (Larry), Heather Sharp (Devon), Tammy Laverty (Matt) and Angela Smith; and his nephew Jeffrey Tuttle (Krista). He is also survived by 8 great nieces, 10 great nephews, 1 great great niece, 1 great great nephew and several aunts, uncles, many cousins, and many friends.
