She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Ellis and Marjorie Ellis (Hicks); her husband Raymond Kurtz; and her siblings, Donna Timm, June Kleffman, Betty Yeager, Patricia Mueller and Duane Ellis.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Bower (Ross) of Vivian, SD and Michael Kurtz (Kristine) of Dakota Dunes, SD; and her grandchildren, Austin Bower (Emily) of Vivian, SD, Jeff Kurtz of Sioux Falls, SD, Morgan Bower of Spearfish, SD, Megan Kurtz of Des Moines, IA, Benjamin Kurtz of Sioux City, IA and Emily Kurtz of Vermillion, SD. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Eidsness Funeral Home (1617 Orchard Dr, Brookings, SD 57006). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
