He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Zarkos and Marian Zarkos; his wife Norma Jean Fowler; his siblings, Harry and Anne; and his siblings-in-law, Nadine Goodhue and Ernie Haddad.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Petersen (Arlan) of Bancroft, NE and Rick Zarkos (Chris) of Sergeant Bluff; his grandson Brad Petersen (Shay) of Bancroft, NE; his great grandchildren, Millie and Mabel Petersen; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Goodhue of Carlisle, IA and Pat Haddad of Allentown, PA.
