It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Hefner of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, who passed away on October 15, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Conaway and Mildred Conaway (Duncan); her husband Verdene Hefner; and her brother Eugene "Bill" Conaway. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Henningfeld (Jerry) of Sioux City, IA, Darnelle Ellsworth (Michael) of Sioux City, IA, Randy Hefner (Connie) of Adel, IA, Rod Hefner (Mary) of Sergeant Bluff, IA and Rich Hefner (Linda) of Cushing; and her siblings, Ramona Thomas (Chuck) of Stanwood, MI and John Conaway (Marjorie) of Rogers, AR.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
