He is survived by: his wife Theresa of Sergeant Bluff; his sons, Joseph Girard (Shirley) of Omaha and Jack Girard (Jodie) of Salix, Iowa; his grandsons, Anthony and Wyatt Girard; and his siblings, Tom Girard (Sheryl), Terry Rees (Dwayne), Mary Mueller, Anne Jackson, Barb Bernard (Glen), Cecilia Geary (Nick) and Chris Dekker (Brian).
