He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schmitz and Hildegard Schmitz. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Decker; and his children, Earl Schmitz (Bonnie), Colleen Mahaney (Todd) and Jack Jensen (Cyndi). He is also survived by five grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
