He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hugo Petersen and Esther Petersen (Kroeger); his wife Ann Petersen; his family, Aaron Petersen (Erin), Andy Moon Wilson (Jiha Moon) and Kelly Bossley (Trent); and his siblings, Ruth, Roger Petersen, Gene Petersen, Alton Petersen, Gary Petersen and Steve Petersen. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the United Community Methodist Church (101 Baker Dr, Sergeant Bluff, IA 51054). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
