He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Hanks and Velma Hanks (Barrett); his wife Susan Caroline Cole Hanks; his stepmother Frieda Hanks; and his daughter Tina.
He is survived by: his pet Butch; his daughters, Rochelle Mitchels (Richard) of Rippey, IA, Lucinda Jean Kelso (Karl) of Carroll, Christine McCool of Coon Rapids, Denise Abernathy (Merle Langner) of Jefferson and Debra Probasco (Jerry Jones) of Zebulon, NC; his adoptive son Michael Hanks of Slater, IA; and his brother Dennis Hanks (Rhonda) of Lake City. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; forty one great-grandchildren.
Those in attendance at Bill's visitation and funeral are asked to abide by Covid-19 guidelines and facemasks are required at the funeral home and the church.
