With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley A. Hoyt (Scranton, Iowa), born in Garnett, Kansas, who passed away on December 19, 2018 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Said and Marjorie Said; her parent-in-law William; her daughter-in-law Kristine Hoyt; her granddaughter Arminda Grace Hoyt; her great grandchildren, Samuel Charles Hoyt, Christopher Michael Hoyt, Noah Alexander Hoyt and Nile Eugene Hoyt; and her brother Clifford Said.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Chad Schoon, Jeremiah Hoyt, Josiah Hoyt, Simon Schlabach, Caleb Hoyt, Elijah Hoyt, Logan Hoyt and Reid Schlabach; her husband Ralph; her children, Deb Schoon (Kurt) of Scranton, Rick Hoyt (Sharon) of Scranton, Randy Hoyt (Sheryl) of Kalona, Roger Hoyt (Peggy) of Scranton and Robert Hoyt (Emily) of Scranton; and her sister Beverly Hoyt of Jefferson. She is also survived by twenty four grandchildren; thirty three great-grandchildren.
