It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Mae Morlan of Scranton, Iowa, who passed away on February 2, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Connie Jean; her husband Carl; and her siblings, Mary Weaver of Omaha, NE, Daisy Hanson of Springfield, MO, Paul (Bayard), Duane of Jefferson and George of Lincoln, NE..
She is survived by: her former spouse Emma Burdine; her brother Carl; her children, Steven Dean, Cathy Mooney (Kenny) of Jefferson, Steve Morlan (Jo Ann) of Glidden, Gloria Hill (Mike) of Roland, Donna Vaughn (Robert) of Waterloo and Jeffrey Morlan (Tracy) of Ankeny; her siblings, Barb Kalsem (David) of Cambridge, Linda Allen (Steve) of Beebe, Arkansas, Fred Ayers of Glidden and Dennis Ayers (Helen) of Bayard; and her sister-in-law Jan Ayers of Lincoln, NE.. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Those in attendance at Rita's visitation and funeral service are asked to abide by Covid-19 guidelines and facemasks are required at the church.
