He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hoyt and Florence Hoyt (Gotter); his wife Shirley A. Hoyt; his parents-in-law, Clifford and Marjorie Said; his daughter-in-law Kristine Hoyt; his granddaughter Arminda Grace; his great grandchildren, Samuel Charles Hoyt, Christopher Michael Hoyt, Noah Alexander Hoyt, Nile Eugene Hoyt and Rhett Lynn Schlabach; his great great grandchild Wrenly Rae Ayers; his siblings, Glen Hoyt, Arlene Carroll and Millie Said (Cliff); and his brother-in-law Jack Haack.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Chad Schoon, Jeremiah Hoyt, Josh Hoyt, Josiah Hoyt, Caleb Hoyt and Logan Hoyt; his children, Deb Schoon (Kurt) of Scranton, Rick Hoyt (Sharon) of Scranton, Randy Hoyt (Sheryl) of Kalona, Roger Hoyt (Peggy) of Scranton and Robert Hoyt (Emily) of Scranton; his siblings, Clara Haack of Davenport, Gaye Barr (Larry) of Scranton, Dale Hoyt (Linda) of Scranton and Neal Hoyt (Caroline) of Scranton; and his siblings-in-law, Ron Carroll of Missouri and Beverly Hoyt of Jefferson. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
