She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Feilmeyer and Grace Feilmeyer (Pulliam); her husband Dean Gibson; her son Bradley; her parents-in-law, Bill and Madge Gibson; her sisters, Kay Brown and Jan Burkett; and her brother-in-law Denis Gibson.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Gibson (Jill) of Scranton, Lisa Bates (Edwin) of Waukee, Julie Ireland (Matt) of Adel, Mark Gibson (Tracey) of Ankeny, Angela Gibson (Jeff Russell) of Des Moines and Jason Gibson (Angie) of Boone; and her siblings-in-law, Donald "Chop" Gibson (Delores) of Scranton, Judy Gibson of Carroll, Norman Brown of Atlanta, GA and John Burkett of Medford, OR. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scranton Community Center.
