She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd "Bud" Kelly and Geraldine Kelly (Gustoff); her husband Michael Wayne Thomas, Sr.; and her brother Donald Kelly. She is survived by: her children, Michael Jr. (Laurie) of Windom, MN, Nicole (Troy Jordan) of Scranton, IA and Richard Thomas of Bayard, IA; her stepdaughter Wendi Jo Leadly of Sacramento, CA; and her sister Deb Crook (Ray) of Glidden, IA. She is also survived by five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with two great-grandchildren.
