He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter E. Johannsen and Helen Johannsen (Jensen); his wife Betty Johannsen; his sister Marleen Fish; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Moore, Pat Schultz (Les) and Bill Aldag.
He is survived by: his children, Craig Johannsen (Julian) and Leisha Kragel of Schleswig; his grandchildren, Jerrod Johannsen (Talsha) of Schleswig, Derek Johannsen (Sara) of Schleswig, Jessica Jurgensen (Josh) of Denison and Jackie Kragel of Wasilla, Alaska; his great grandchildren, Colton, Huntur, Taryn, June, Jules, Reid, Jade and Lyndi; his sister Sharon Shogren (Dennis) of Bartlett, Illinois; his siblings-in-law, Verne Fish of Lakewood, Ronald Aldag (Nancy) of Apple Valley and Peggy Aldag of Schleswig; and his friend Phyllis Schrader of Ida Grove. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the United Church of Christ (409 Maple Ave, Schleswig, IA 51461). A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the Morgan Cemetery Association.
