With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael James Ashbrook of Schleswig, Iowa, who passed away on December 24, 2021 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ashbrook and Dorothy Ashbrook (Stehr); his stepfather Louis Schmadeke; his aunt Shirley (Donald "Bud" Neuman); his uncle Irvin Stehr; his niece Lee Ann McKibben; and his great-nephew Maxwell McKibben.

He is survived by: his former wife Diana Noblitt; his daughter Diana; his stepdaughter Jessica Lynn; his wife Diana "Dee" Ashbrook of Schleswig; his children, Jessica Steinert of Lawton, OK, Ryan Ashbrook (Amanda Jean) and Jayden Ashbrook of Schleswig; his grandchild Karsen Keim of Schleswig; his siblings, Nancy Woebke, Jane Edsen, Sheryl (Charles Prokupek) and Thomas Schmadeke; and his godchildren, Adrianne Prokupek Pickett and Cael Schmadeke. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
