He is survived by: his nephews, Cory Preul and Dudley Preul; his niece Velva McCuen; his wife Joyce Detlefsen of Schleswig; his son Scott Detlefsen (Kathleen); his grandson Joseph Detlefsen of LaVista, Nebraska; his son Brad Detlefsen (Monica); his grandchildren, Matthew Detlefsen of Omaha, Nebraska and Thomas Detlefsen of Omaha, Nebraska; his sister Erika Ragsdell of Millington, Tennessee; his goddaughter Contessa Siders of Vermillion; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Preul (Mary) of Henderson, Gary Preul (Barb) of Denison, Darrell Preul (Linda) of Knoxville, Darlene (Dick Rudner) of Scottsdale, Rick Preul (Deb) of Kiron and Berneil Preul of Denison. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
